Article submitted is a candidate for Speedy Deletion: Bill Kovacs

[edit]

A tag has been placed on Bill Kovacs, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article seems to be a biographical account about a person, group of people, or band, but it does not indicate how or why he/she/they is/are notable. If you can indicate why Bill Kovacs is really notable, I advise you to edit the article promptly, and also put a note on Talk:Bill Kovacs. Any admin should check for such edits before deleting the article. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Please read our criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item 7 under Articles. You might also want to read our general biography criteria. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. To contest the tagging and request that admins should wait a while for you to assert his/her/their notability, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and then immediately add such an assertion. It is also a very good idea to add citations from reliable sources to ensure that your article will be verifiable. --Casper2k3 02:11, 8 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Unblock Request

[edit]

Sorry for the slow response. If you're currently blocked, I'm going to need to know a few things before I can unblock you. 1) Who is the user who blocked you? 2) Who is the user whose block resulted in your autoblock? 3) What's your IP address? Thanks. AmiDaniel (talk) 10:47, 31 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

General Packet Radio Service

[edit]

I have a question about your General Packet Radio Service edit. Is it the case when you use web browser on the phone or connecting a computer via mobile phone to the Internet? I know when surfing WAP pages, it only needs IP (obtaining IP address during PDP context activation), not PPP. So the sentense should be splitted in 2 cases, using only mobile and using computer via mobile. -- Lerdsuwa 07:27, 18 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Electricity Commission of New South Wales

[edit]

One of the things behind Wikipedia is Wikipedia:Be bold - jumping in and doing things. However I think the Electricity Commission of New South Wales is better off in it's own article from Pacific Power (Australia). Even though they followed each other and were a restructuring, the first was part of the government and the other was a corporation. I do see why you did it - there is substantial duplication - but with some work both articles are 'interesting' enough to have their own independent content. Feel free to chase up opinions from others. Wongm (talk) 09:50, 4 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

More information needed about File:Tapr-logo.gif

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Tapr-logo.gif. However, it needs some more work before it is okay to use on Wikipedia.

Please click here and do the following:

  1. Add a description of where the image comes from (not what it is) and who the creator is. Please be specific, and include a link if you can.
  2. Find the appropriate license from the list of free, non-free media, or public domain options. Copy the license template and paste it in the file's page, and save.

If you follow these steps, your image can help enhance Wikipedia. If you have any questions, feel free to ask at the media copyright questions page.

Thank you for your contribution! --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 06:05, 30 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Notification of automated file description generation

[edit]

Your upload of File:Bill Kovacs 11-Sep-2002 at Rezn8.jpg or contribution to its description is noted, and thanks (even if belatedly) for your contribution. In order to help make better use of the media, an attempt has been made by an automated process to identify and add certain information to the media's description page.

This notification is placed on your talk page because a bot has identified you either as the uploader of the file, or as a contributor to its metadata. It would be appreciated if you could carefully review the information the bot added. To opt out of these notifications, please follow the instructions here. Thanks! Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
