Cold fusion

[edit]

I find it odd not to have any mention in the History section of the Fleischmann–Pons experiment and the cold fusion controversy, especially considering the role that the University administration played in accelerating its announcement and ultimately worsening the debacle (this according to numerous reliable sources, see sources on above linked page). I'm not a U of Utah hater or anything of the sort, it just seems like a deeply important moment when the world was watching and reporting on the University, and that might merit at least a sentence in the History section. As central as the U was to the controversy, is it really appropriate to say that the controversy is central to the U? The U is already linked on the article about the controversy, but do you feel it's relevant to this article? Personally, I'm okay with it being added, but I don't believe it's really necessary. guninvalid (talk) 02:25, 21 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
