Polymer banknotes
[edit]This UK's first polymer banknotes were issued by the Clydesdale Bank in March 2015, albeit with limited circulation. [[1]]
Therefore the claim that September 2016 saw the BoE introduce the UKs first polymer banknote is, as it stands, incorrect. Furthermore, the citation offered for that claim results in a broken link. Steelwool (talk) 20:30, 26 March 2018 (UTC)
Authentication Division
[edit]The current Wikipedia page on De La Rue references the Currency Division of De La Rue. The Currency Division is one division out of two in De La Rue. De La Rue also has a growing Authentication Division (see the company homepage www.delarue.com or the most recent Annual Report at https://2752422.fs1.hubspotusercontent-na1.net/hubfs/2752422/AGM%20Documents/2022/DLR_AR22_Bookmarked.pdf ). The Authentication division provides digital and physical authentication and traceability solutions that protect businesses and governments from the impact of counterfeit goods and illicit trade. It also produces ID security solutions such as polycarbonate data pages for passports. Strickland nikki2023 (talk) 21:02, 11 April 2023 (UTC)
Largest printer
[edit]The article states "In 2019, it was the world's largest commercial printer." This implies that De La Rue is no longer the largest commercial printer. However there is no indication of other commercial printers investing in increasing their total banknote manufacturing capacity. De La Rue also hasn't decreased its capacity. De La Rue announced it was relocating equipment to retain print capacity when it announced it was ceasing printing operations in Gateshead (see https://f.hubspotusercontent20.net/hubfs/2752422/DLR-Annual-Report-2021.pdf ) and it has also announced investment in its Malta site https://www.delarue.com/media-center/upgrade-to-malta-site This indicates that De La Rue is still the world's largest commercial banknote printer.
